At 1 pm, Apple will host its “Spring Loaded” virtual event, where it’s expected to focus on iPads.
In fact, according to Barron’s, “Wedbush analyst Dan Ives wrote in a note Sunday that Apple is expected to make changes to its 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. He expects both models to include Apple’s new A14X chip, with the latter, higher-end one also coming with a mini-LED display. Ives wrote that a mini-LED display, “will be a game changer around color performance, dimming capabilities, and high contrast capabilities for the consumer.”
The analyst also believes that new iPad models could drive users to upgrade existing models.
In addition, there’s speculation the company could introduce Air Tags – Bluetooth devices that could be attached to items and then tracked with Apple’s Find My App.
Even better, analysts expect for Apple to boost its dividend and increase its buyback program when it releases earnings on April 28, 2021.
Wells Fargo analyst Aaron Rakers, as noted by Barron’s, says the company will expand its buyback program to $50 billion. He also expects for Apple to increase its dividend by 10%. “Our positive view on Apple’s continued ability to generate strong free cash flow supports our view that the company could return its annual dividend growth trajectory into the double-digit percentage range,” he added.
